Location: Whitfield County, Georgia

Nutter & Associates completed all components necessary to establish the approximately 214-acre Upper Coosa Mitigation Bank located adjacent to the Conasauga River in Whitfield County, Georgia. As a part of the project, all monitoring required by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District 2018 Standard Operating Procedure was completed, including wetland hydrologic assessment, vegetation sampling, functional assessments, HEC-RAS flood modeling, and geospatial mapping and modeling. The project team worked closely with the Interagency Review Team to establish functional lift estimates, long-term performance standards and methodologies, and restoration design plans.

Services Provided

Nutter & Associates has provided the following services:

  • Established and monitored long-term hydrologic and vegetation plots
  • Provided the restoration design in AutoCAD Civil3D format to the contractor
  • Developed Erosion, Sedimentation and Pollution Control Plans
  • Acquired federal, state, and local permits
  • Assisted with the identification of Conservation Easement holder, establishment of Financial Assurances, and coordination of credit sales
